Although every financial planning engagement is different, we typically follow this process for new clients:

FREE Consultation

We welcome all new clients with a free 45-minute consultation. This helps us to assess your current financial situation, as well as walk you through our process and set standards for our professional relationship moving forward.

Initial Discovery Meeting

This 90-minute meeting can be held in person, via video conferencing, or over the phone. During this meeting, we’ll work together to get a comprehensive view of your needs, goals, and concerns.

We will define what prosperity means to you on a personal level and determine what you want to achieve in order to feel successful and fulfilled.

Plan Delivery Meeting

During this 90-minute meeting, we’ll go over a financial plan that begins with yoru net worth statement and ends with an action plan checklist. Zuwa Financial will make recommendations in the following areas:

  • Cash flow planning and budgeting
  • College planning
  • Investments
  • Retirement planning
  • Insurance Review (including Life, Health, Disability and Long-term Care)
  • Estate planning
  • Tax planning

We’ll also go over a plan for asset allocation of your retirement and non-retirement accounts, as well as other goal-oriented financial recommendations.

Ongoing Planning

We know that an initial consultation isn’t enough. Life will get in the way, and we’re here to help keep you on track. Every 4-6 months, we will schedule a 60-minute follow up meeting to touch base and reassess both your goals and progress.

Investment Advice

Zuwa Financial uses Betterment for Advisors as our Investment Management Platform. Currently, Betterment for Advisors charges platform fees of 20 basis points quarterly. Zuwa Financial does NOT charge any extra fees on Assets under management (AUM).

Special Financial Services

While many of our clients follow this engagement pattern, we know that other clients may require a unique financial service. Whether we are providing group planning for a business, Financial Wellness Program, or are working with an individual in a specific capacity, Zuwa Financial is always open to building a financial planning service model that meets your needs.
